Me prospecting for minerals, crystals and rocks with Winnie.  Winnie died, but I know she is still prospecting with me in spirit.

  1. Without minerals, we would die. Ions from minerals are required for life; they are used in biochemical pathways within our bodies. Many essential ions from minerals include calcium, iron, iodine, magnesium, zinc, selenium, copper, manganese, chromium and molybdeum. From the lectures that I heard, I was surprised that Dr. Marcel Vogal did not cover this. I have hyponitremia, so I ingest a small crystal of halite in the morning and evening. Since them, the sodium level in my blood has returned to normal. Hyponitremia causes seizures and death.
